Overview
IDO is a third-person, frantic, hack-n-slash game where players embody the Silent Observer, the benign manifestation of a Gamer’s inner self. After losing a gaming championship, the Gamer becomes consumed by their own insecurities and inhibitions, dreaming of overcoming them. The player fights against powerful manifestations, solves thematic puzzles, and collects power-up artifacts as they travel through each realm’s portal. The portals located in the dream’s central hub are accessed sequentially based on the amount of Light Force collected from the realms. The player completes the game after acquiring all the Light Force from the Toy, Timespace, Reflection and Sunken Realms by defeating the inhibitions in combat, leading to the Gamer awakening from their slumber.

This is currently my most recent collaboration where I have modeled a variety of assets, but most importantly I have had the opprotunity to do a variety of animations to further my skills and understanding of the craft. Rigging has been an experience in itself, I find that the skeleton and controllers to be straightfoward. However, when it comes to skin weights I find that it is still a skill that I can't quite grasp easily.

What I Contributed
Modeled and textured props i.e. Silent Observer's Vambrace and Telekinesis Ring.
Modeled Environmental Assets i.e. Toy Blocks and Spinning Tops.
Rigged and Animated a variety of characters i.e. Fear, Slacker, and the Player Character's Astral Projection.

All assets were created using Maya, textured in Substance Painter.
All animations are hand keyed in Maya.
